Before you begin I will warn you that the Myths of Safe Pesticides is not an easy read. It reads much more like a scientific journal then a non-fiction book. You can’t read this book with a lot of distraction. In order to truly grasp the meaning of the author’s words you’ll need to sit in a quiet place where you can focus on the text at hand. The author includes many graphs and charts, but even with these additional tools it will take a quiet, focused mind to comprehend this book.
With that said, if you are interested in learning more about pesticides and the harmful impacts on human consumption then this may be the book for you. Before you take a bite out of that next apple, before you prepare a vegetable stir-fry and before you begin to chop up ingredients for your Cobb salad you may want to know how those fruits and vegetables were grown and what chemicals may have leached into them.
