Cleaning Out the Clutter with eBay Sales

January 27, 2009 by One Frugal Girl Leave a Comment

I’ve decided to list a couple of items on eBay again this week. I’ve sold a dozen or so items over the last few years. I never seem to make as much money as other sellers, but I’m happy to get rid of last year’s treasures. It just means I have less to reorganize and rearrange in the house.

My first sale brought in roughly $25. I’m not sure why the items sold for so little, similar items were selling for twice as much, but I’m happy to be rid of them. I’m planning on listing a handful of other items over the next week.

I’ve also been trying to sell college basketball tickets for weeks. Unfortunately, our team is so bad this year that I’m finding very little interest. I’ll be lucky to recoup $500 on tickets that originally cost us $1200.
