I have always wondered why people are so fascinated with celebrities. The only time I flip through celebrity mags is when I'm waiting in line at the supermarket or at a doctor/dentist office and that's only because I'm bored and have nothing else to look at. I have friends who love watching reality T.V. shows (Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Jenny Loves Donny) which leaves me scratching my head because there are so many quality shows/movies out there to watch. I have added this book to my reading list - it looks interesting and hopefully will shed some light. And I totally agree with your comment about people acting like celebs on facebook There are definitely a lot of insecure people who want everyone to believe that they are living a fabulous life and tend to think that every little thing they do is important to everybody.
