Sold my condo, quit my job, cashed out my retirement plan (yup–took an early withdrawal hit. Not fiscally responsible, but still…) and moved across the country to follow a dream of making movies. Five unsold scripts and ten years later, I finally took another full-time job. The difference is that instead of being a financial or programmer analyst, I am actually being paid to write/edit. Not screenplays, but it beats accounting!
