It’s been a while I’ve read anything that has touched deeply within me.

It is so uplifting!

In all, I am grateful and optimistic that the God we call everyday will keep us safe and grant us the ease and cure for this disease.

Since we are warm, we have food to eat, we have a place to sleep and we have our loved ones around us, we should be optimistic and we will conquer no matter what.

In reply to She's FIRE'd. Oh my goodness I am so grateful for all of those things too. Twenty years ago this stay at home seclusion would feel very different than it does now. Technology and medical ingenuity are constantly moving forward in ways that can better our lives. Thank goodness for that.

I’m optimistic too. And grateful. I’m glad we are all healthy. I’m glad we have a large yard and we live where the weather is warm. I’m grateful for the technology that helps us to stay in touch, allows many people to work from home, and order the things they need. I’m grateful for entrepreneurs who are coming up with ways to meet our needs in safe ways, and companies inventing tools to combat this virus. The lessons we learn from this will change us forever- in ways we can barely imagine. Count your blessings and hang in there. It will get better.

In reply to Susan. That's strange "Becoming More Compassionate" was a heading that is mysteriously missing from this post. I wrote a few paragraphs on the topic. I guess that's what I get for trying to edit from my cell phone :) I like your additions: patient and socially aware are really good lessons too.

Terrific suggestions – thanks! And I especially like your concluding thought – that you hope we learn a lot about ourselves and become wiser, smarter and stronger. My list would also include that we be more compassionate, patient and socially aware.
