Thanks for this comment. I’m not beating myself up, although upon reading my words again I can see why you would think that. I am grateful for the wisdom of age. In my youth, I thought I knew everything. Now I see, how little I know and how much growth I have left to gain!

I think about things I did and decisions I made when I was young too. I hope you are not beating myself up over mistakes you made when you were young. I am trying not to do that to myself anymore and also to give my teenagers some space to make mistakes too. Perspectives change as you get older, and I think people make the best decisions they can at the time. Give yourself some grace if you’re being hard on yourself. It doesn’t change anything. You did the best you could at the time.

Humans are finite. Our human condition requires selective use of our time, energy, and funding. If everything is a priority, then nothing is a priority.
