Thanks for the advice on holding onto things. We have a pretty big basement, but I hate clutter, so I'm doing my best to make certain everything I want to keep is clearly labeled and sorted! I figure if we do have another child it will make it a whole lot easier to find whatever it is we're looking for. I haven't had much luck with consignment stores, by the time I arrive everything is stained and unappealing. Maybe I need to get on an early list so I can get first dibs. Thanks for the comment!

I've found a lot of good deals at "mom to mom" type consignment sales, which seem to be very popular in our area, often put on by churches, MOPS groups, etc. I both sell and volunteer at my favorite one, which gives me early access before the general public.

And just wanted to say, as long as you have storage room is it good to hold on to your favorite baby items until you are absolutely sure you are done. My 2 boys were just over 4 yrs apart, which meant 95% of what I saved was able to be used (and loved) again. Not that the younger one doesn't get some (deeply discounted) new stuff - but it has saved me a ton of money!
