I agree with you. If I’m trying to focus on getting well, I don’t want to be freaking out because I’m draining the equity from my home or racking up credit debt for the first time in my life.

I do think of that sometimes. My (almost) six months’ stash won’t go too far in a true disaster. But it will go a lot further than having NOTHING.
