Checking Off My To-Do List

March 11, 2010 by One Frugal Girl 4 Comments

I’m horribly behind on posting this month. I’m not sure where the time goes, but I can’t believe it’s already the 10th of March. Things have been busy this month as my husband and I have been traveling back and forth a lot between our house and our vacation home.

I started a to-do list and lately I seem to be checking off everything except writing in my blog. I finished planting the starter seeds for my garden, scanned and copied a bunch of photos for my grandmother, called a bunch of banks, credit card companies and credit unions and finalized the re-certification for PMP. Somehow or another I still have two pages worth of to-dos remaining and a busy week ahead.

My plan is to get back on track, but with the ACC and NCAA tournaments just around the corner I know that’s unlikely. Although there are a million things I probably should be doing, I know that I’ll be parked in front of the TV cheering on my team. If they win a few games I might just try to round up some friends and fly out to the games. That’s an expense that isn’t exactly in the budget planner, but will be ever so worth it if we win!

I guess there’s always time for to-do lists. In the mean time… Go Terps!

Yay seeds! I have had some seeds growing in my living room for about two weeks now. Planning to lush up my apartment balcony. ๐Ÿ™‚ It's my first time growing anything. Do you have any tips?

Frugal Girl, something nice happened to me because of you — I just won a package of organic gummy bears! Your post about taking time to enter contests (because it ultimately paid off) quietly had an effect on me. I've entered a bunch of contests, with no success, except a book won. This was discouraging, but I've kept on entering now and then. And lo and behold, this past weekend, I won something!
It's all because of you. Thank you.

@Keith – You'll love gardening. I started a box garden last year and I absolutely love it. I'll post more about it tomorrow if I can!

@MW – Terps play tomorrow night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that good old G.V. will be on fire.

@Cindy – I am so excited that you won your second contest! Congratulations! I think you won a contest I hosted a long time back didn't you? I haven't won anything since I last posted about contests, but I still keep trying.
