Braided Barrettes: A Return to the 80s

My mom must have made 20 sets of braided barrettes when I was a kid. I had every color combination you could think of. I wore those barrettes just about every day of the 2nd and 3rd grade. I know I have an old pair of these somewhere, but I searched my house and my parent’s house to no avail. So today I decided to purchase the components and make a new pair myself. I bought the ribbons this afternoon. Now I just need to figure out where I can find the barrettes.

you should be able to buy those barrettes at walmart/target. you may also wanna try a craft store such as hobby lobby/michaels.

  2. Thanks for the kudos. I actually tried Michaels and Jo-Ann Fabrics without much luck. I’m going to try the hair care section of Walmart and Rite-Aid tomorrow.
